This question is still opened. The authors conducted a randomized placebo-controlled trial in order to compare epidural analgesia and continuous femoral block using method of double parallel patient-controlled analgesia after total knee arthroplasty. The results demonstrated that the using of PCA does not increase the consumption of local anesthetic and the number of adverse effects in comparison with epidural analgesia.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В настоящее время остается открытым вопрос, имеет ли преимущества продленная блокада бедренного нерва перед эпидуральным обезболиванием при использовании метода контролируемой пациентом анальгезии (КПА). Авторами статьи было проведено рандомизированное плацебоконтролируемое исследование с целью сравнения эпидуральной анальгезии и продленной блокады бедренного нерва методом двойной параллельной контролируемой пациентом анальгезии после тотального эндопротезирования коленного сустава.
